You may not like to admit it, but we’ve all done it. It’s been a rough day. Maybe you lost your job. Or perhaps the car broke down, again, and left you stranded in the rain while all those damned commuters just whizzed right by you, splashing you with puddles and never bothering to so much as tap their brakes. Or perhaps you woke up on the wrong side of the bed and the day just became a series of unfortunate events. To top it all off, you’re broke.
Whatever the chain of events that led you here, you are now standing in front of a selection of the cheapest wine, beer, and liquor, wondering what you can get away with drinking and still be able to crawl out of bed tomorrow.
Enter the Cheap Booze Review! On this column, my trusty cohort Walt and I will regularly sample the cheapest booze on the market, and give you the skinny on what’s worth your five bucks, and what you should pass up in favour of a nail in the eye.
